Gorilla – A dance piece by David Vu

This video is a exhibition project we did for Little Simz track “Gorilla”. By implementing movement direction & dance with visual storytelling, we aimed to create a dance video which is both fun, creative and easy digested content for David Vu’s social channels. The project was executed in two days. After 1 day of choreographing and putting together with the dancers, we went into production.

 

The response of Gorilla was overwhelming! The video got a total of 1,4 million views organically on Tiktok, getting attention from huge brands suchs as Vans, Hypebeast, the artist herself Little Simz and many more. Gorilla was shared by over 5500 users, and saved by over 25 000+. It also gained a great response on Instagram with a count of 127000 views. The response is still ongoing and increasing as of now. We had so much fun working with this video, and will keep on creating more content like this.

Our recent work for BI International. Schjærven contacted us to produce 10 videos for their first TikTok campaign. Our goal was to attract foreign students and build top of mind awareness for BI, and also Norway as the study destination. Ultimately getting these students to attend for BI in 2023. After getting contact established with BI, we started this project by designing the idea for each videos, and run the casting process.  We started visualising the characters for each video. It was during this project we founded Vimo Casting.

This campaign was distributed on TikTok and reached out in several continents. We gained a lot of traffic in to the website and overall the TikTok campaign was super successful, being the first time BI did a TikTok campaign.

Sweetmint, a Oslo-based local snacks and candy store, embarked on a transformative journey to redefine its brand identity, digital presence, and market positioning. With a thriving physical store but limited online visibility, Sweetmint recognized the need for a comprehensive strategy to expand its reach and enhance customer engagement in the digital sphere. Before partnering with Vimo Media, Sweetmint lacked a cohesive brand identity and digital & online strategy. Their online presence was virtually nonexistent besides their high engagement on Tiktok. They had an outdated website and minimal branding on their socials. While their physical store flourished, the untapped potential of e-commerce remained largely unexplored.

 

Our Approach:

Understanding the significance of a strong brand identity and digital presence, we collaborated closely with Sweetmint to develop a strategy tailored to their unique needs. Our approach encompassed the following key elements:

1. Brand Identity Overhaul:

We commenced the transformation journey by reimagining Sweetmint’s brand identity. A vibrant, playful new logo was meticulously crafted to reflect the essence of the brand, infusing it with fresh energy and appeal. Additionally, we curated a dynamic color palette and designed captivating visual elements that seamlessly translated across both physical and digital touchpoints.

 

2. Website Revamp:

Recognizing the pivotal role of the website as the digital storefront, we conceptualized and executed a complete overhaul of Sweetmint’s online platform. The new website was thoughtfully designed to enhance user experience, featuring engaging visuals, intuitive navigation, and interactive elements. Pastel hues adorned product backgrounds, injecting a sense of whimsy and charm while showcasing Sweetmint’s diverse offerings.

 

3. Social Media Reinvention:

To elevate Sweetmint’s social media presence and drive e-commerce sales, Vimo Media revolutionized their approach to content creation and advertising. High-quality, professionally curated visual content replaced mobile footage, capturing the attention and imagination of the target audience. Strategic social media advertising campaigns were deployed, leveraging captivating imagery and compelling messaging to amplify brand visibility and drive conversion.

 

4. Community Engagement Initiatives:

In alignment with Sweetmint’s values, we created a series of community engagement initiatives to foster meaningful connections and drive brand advocacy. From charity events supporting humanitarian causes to innovative live shopping experiences, each initiative served as a catalyst for positive impact and garnered widespread acclaim across social media platforms, while increasing their sales significantly.

 

Results Achieved:

Through our collaborative efforts and strategic interventions, Sweetmint experienced a remarkable transformation, yielding tangible outcomes and driving sustainable growth:

  • E-commerce sales surged by an astounding 250%, propelled by the rebranded website and targeted social media advertising.
  • The redesigned logo and brand elements permeated across various touchpoints, including store signage, packaging, and window graphics, reinforcing brand consistency and visibility.
  • Community engagement initiatives, such as charity events and live shopping experiences, garnered significant attention and bolstered brand reputation, fostering a loyal customer base and driving advocacy.
  • Total funds raised through charity events amounted to 180,000 kroners, underscoring Sweetmint’s commitment to social responsibility and community impact.
  • The brand’s enhanced digital presence garnered widespread acclaim and engagement on TikTok and Instagram, further amplifying reach and driving brand affinity.

We have had the pleasure to collaborate with the team behind the captivating Hør her’a movie – released on Norwegian cinemas September 2023. Our mission was clear – to craft a compelling social media strategy that would not only increase the movie’s visibility but also engage audiences in a way that resonated with the film’s essence.

 

TikTok Triumph:

In just 30 days, we orchestrated a remarkable transformation, propelling Hør her’a from a nonexistent TikTok presence to a thriving community of 2144 followers. The key to our success lay in crafting content that not only entertained but also piqued the curiosity of potential viewers. Through a carefully curated mix of behind-the-scenes footage, challenges, and interactive content, we sparked a TikTok frenzy, accumulating an impressive 45,450 likes and fostering genuine engagement.

 

Instagram Branding Boost:

Simultaneously, we turned our attention to Instagram, reshaping the movie’s branding to captivate a broader audience. Leveraging our creative prowess, we had a increase in followers by 800%, establishing a visually cohesive and compelling presence that resonated with fans of the movie.

 

Strategic Storytelling:

To reinforce the connection between the audience and the movie’s narrative, we introduced a captivating mini-series “Tour De Groruddalen” exclusive to social media platforms. The series showcased the main characters exploring the very locations where Hør her’a was filmed. This approach not only humanized the characters but also immersed the audience in the movie’s world, creating a playful and youthful ambiance that mirrored the film’s spirit.

 

Driving Engagement to Cinemas:

Our strategy went beyond mere social media metrics. By strategically integrating calls-to-action within our content, we motivated the growing community to experience Hør her’a on the big screen in Norway. The result was not just online engagement but a tangible impact at the cinemas, driving traffic to the cinemas.

 

The success of our collaboration with Hør her’a is a testament to our commitment to not only meeting but exceeding our clients’ expectations. By seamlessly integrating creative storytelling, social media expertise, and strategic branding, we not only elevated the movie’s social presence but also contributed to a successful cinematic journey.

MyNor – My Norwegian Culture – Minority Culture

As this has been a kickstarter project for Yasmin as a Creative Director, Mynor has also ignited a new flame for Vimo Media. Upon working with MyNor we discovered our true purpose and vision in the industry. We saw a lack of minority representation in the film and media industry in Norway, both in front of and behind the camera. We’ve always had a goal to create diversity in the media landscape but this mission became clear fto us when we started planning for MyNor. MyNor is a campaign celebrating the diversity of the Norwegian culture by showing that individuals percieve culture quite differently. Yasmin wanted to showcase siblings from 5 different families through unique fashionable settings. We produced the background sets from scratch by building walls and painting and decorating them in the unique settings for each scene. Picking out the cast and creating the set design we wanted for the campaign video.

 

This summer in Oslo, we’ll be having an event covering the MyNor campaign, as well as launching our own merchandise for MyNor. Further information will be announced.

Bellino, a prominent stroller brand, achieved remarkable success with the launch of their brand in Norway. We played a pivotal role in crafting and executing a comprehensive multimedia strategy that encompassed commercials, lookbook videos, product and webshop photos, as well as informative tutorial videos. This case study delves into the collaborative journey between Vimo Media and Bellino, showcasing the strategic approach, creative solutions, and outstanding results that ensued.

Objective:

Bellino aimed to establish a strong presence in the Norwegian market and capitalize on the growing demand for high-end strollers. Our task was creating a compelling brand identity, generating engaging content, and implementing an effective digital marketing strategy to drive growth across their social media and ecommerce platforms.

Strategy and Execution:

  1. Comprehensive Multimedia Content: We developed a suite of multimedia content, including captivating commercials, a visually stunning lookbook video, and high-quality product photos. This content was designed to showcase Bellino’s strollers as not just functional but also stylish, catering to the preferences of the Norwegian consumer.
  2. Ecommerce Optimization: Vimo played a crucial role in enhancing Bellino’s webshop by providing visually appealing and informative product photos. The goal was to create an immersive online shopping experience, enabling potential customers to make informed decisions about Bellino’s strollers.
  3. Tutorial Videos: To address the practical needs of customers, we produced how-to tutorial videos, guiding users through the setup and use of Bellino strollers. This not only enhanced the user experience but also positioned Bellino as a brand that values customer satisfaction.
  4. Strategic Social Media Campaigns: Leveraging their expertise in digital marketing, we executed targeted social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive engagement. Consistent and visually appealing content across platforms contributed to a significant growth in Bellino’s social media presence.

 

This project exemplifies the power of creative multimedia solutions and strategic digital marketing in successfully launching a brand in a new market. IKEA wanted to release their annually Art Event-collection, build up of eight rugs designed by artists all over the world. The goal was to connect and build value for the younger and fashion-oriented audience. One of the major artists in our era, Virgil Abloh stood behind the “Keep Off” Rug. This was the most exclusive rug in the collection. In the process, Trigger Norway took contact with us and wanted to produce a high-quality video campaign for this matter. We collaborated with Quick Style Studio and The Quickstyle on this campaign, to make this into one hell of a dance video branding the rugs in a creative way. The main goal was to make awareness of the raffle which took place in YME, a local Norwegian fashion store.

 

This campaign video resulted with over 1 million views, 16 thousand registrations of the raffle to buying one of the 30 examples of these rugs. Magazines such as Highsnobiety, D2, A-magasinet and Melk & Honning posted about this event.

Once again, teaming up with Schjærven on Krogh Optikk and Acuvue’s recent social media campaign. To communicate the easyness and functionality of contact lenses, Krogh wanted us to portray it in a household setting. We were drawn to the idea of highlighting the lenses’ functionality during several stages of a day. By starting the day with home workout in the morning to ending the day with romance.

 

We have been fully involved in the process from idea creation, casting, producing and directing the 5 videos for the campaign; Når det er lettere med linser. Here are two of the five videos which were distributed not only on TikTok, but also on their website, Instagram, Snapchat and other channels.
